WOPO started with one simple idea: radio should feel alive again.

Created by veteran DJ and entertainer DJ OPE-SKI, WOPO is an independent digital radio station built from a lifetime of music, culture, touring, friendships, stories, and love for the art of DJing.  This isn’t a corporate playlist created by an algorithm. This is REAL. RAW. RADIO.

WOPO is where old-school Hip-Hop lives next to R&B, house, funk, soul, classics, underground joints, forgotten gems, and records you forgot you loved. It’s where DJs actually DJ, personalities have personalities, and you never know what might happen next.

Created during a new chapter in OPE-SKI’s life, slowing down gave him time to think about what he had built, what he loved, and what he still wanted to create. Instead of waiting for the next opportunity, he built his own platform. That platform became WOPO.

Expect live DJ sets, original shows, interviews, archived music, Hip-Hop history, special guests, video, comedy, culture, and the occasional complete foolishness. WOPO also gives DJs, artists, collectors, entrepreneurs, friends, and people from the culture a place to share their stories.

Some days we’ll educate you. Some days we’ll introduce you to something new. And some days we’re just going to rock the damn party.

There’s no giant corporation behind WOPO—just experience, imagination, good people, a whole lot of records, and listeners helping us build something special from the ground up.

The past. The present. And whatever crazy thing we do next.

Welcome to WOPO  REAL RAW RADIO
